On 5th September 2019, with a participation of the world-famous photographer Angela Forker, families, supporters, friends, we opened photo exhibition “Dream bridges”. 15 large canvas tell about themselves – about the main characters, overall about the palliative care of children.
We, Children Palliative Care Association, have had a long-cherished dream – to build multifunctional children palliative care center “Dream bridges”. In 2018, Elita Mīlgrāve with her fellows gave us a lot of support in the path to the dream, and this year we have also gained an international support – our intention was attracked by the world-famous photographer Angela Forker. At the end of May she visited Latvia to photograph 12 children. To tell through these photos that every child, family, despite on the diagnosis, has the right to be loved, understood and to show how important is the the creation of the center “Dream bridges”.
Angela’s contribution is much more than a photo – for these children it was an opportunity to swing, jump on a trampoline, swin, become a make-up artist, experience in the role of “Little Red riding hood and the wolf”, treat a dinosaur with a nicy… and go across to the dream bridge to his/her dream when everything is possible.
